Well here I go.

First I tried the air filter while I decided if I really wanted to cut my own hood.

I then masked and put the template on.  I used a VCR box to keep the hood propped up a bit.

O boy here I go!!  The blade on my saber saw was not quite long enough.  This was my biggest pain in the ass.  Had to cut from top and bottom plus use the grinder.

The aluminum is VERY brittle.  I could twist chunks of with pliers.

I removed the stock cover holder thingys and replaced with new.

Then put the base on.

Here is the shaker

Hood down - w/trim and w/o trim

I need to fill or join the two sections of hood.  Fiberglass????  Any suggestions??

Cheers
